Welcome to 204 Riverview Road. This historic house was built in 1830. It has gorgeous views of the old Erie Canal and Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve. Fun Fact: Our garage used to act as the local general store back in its heyday!

I grew up in this house and had an amazing childhood here with the nature preserve as my backyard. I love (and will greatly miss) just sitting on the deck and watching all of the wildlife. We regularly see a wide range of animals including blue heron, rare woodpeckers, ducks and geese swimming, eagles, hawks, and even the occasional swan!  The area has always had a wonderful neighborhood-like feeling. Our neighbors became some of our closest friends, many of whom I still call my best friends today. One of the main things I love about this house is its location to outdoor activities. Whether you like to bike, walk or run, there are nature trails right out the door and endless acres to explore. It always felt as though I had my own private park directly behind my house. Two of my favorite rooms in the house are the main bedroom and downstairs office which have direct views into the preserve. It is such a special thing to wake up to each day. As you head up into the village, you’ll find the Vischer Ferry General Store which has become a staple for the town. They have great coffee and baked goods and is a super cozy place to relax. Fall is such a great time in Rexford, you have local farms and apple orchards nearby. While you have all of this great countryside to enjoy, it’s a convenient ten minute drive to Clifton Park. You are also centrally located to Albany, Troy, Saratoga, and Schenectady. 

It was an incredibly difficult decision to sell my childhood home. There’s so much beauty here, but I hope that the next owners will love and appreciate the history and land as much as we have!
